Yes, high blood pressure (HBP) can definately contribute to varicocele.
Just read this article on the association of varicose veins with hypertension (HBP):
“Venous hypertension exerted on veins of the lower extremity is considered the principal factor in varicose vein formation.”
HOWEVER, hypertension is an unlikely sole cause of varicocele.
You have to see the body as more of a complex system where many factors add up to a specific disease. Varicocele has many contributing risk factors. Most men have dozens contributing factors. All of these factors add up and then the disease of varicocele begins forming.
Now, hypertension increases the amount of blood that pools in varicose veins, and it also increases the pressure on those veins, making them move varicose. Both men and women with high blood pressure are more susceptible to varicosities. So, it is definitely a risk factor.
